Alright below is where you can find out about all things Australian (and some international) comedy. Where the venues are In your state and a list of as many comics i can think of / have worked with / really really admire. Some of the comics on here might be right up your alley and some of them might not be. but that is the beauty of comedy - its totally subjective and everyone is entitled to their own opinion of whats funny. There should be something or someone on here who appeals to you though so have a look and see what you find.
There is quite alot here at the moment and im not really anywhere near finished. Some great comics don't even have websites (you'll have to catch them at a club). There are alot of comedians working in this country. Its a underground thing for the most part but it is definately closer to your home than you'd probably think.

hoodwinked - variety / comedy game show like a cross between spicks and specks, blankety blanks and boulderdash. Its played live at comedy festivals with a range of comics / muso's and personalities from all over. Great fun and a good lazy night for a comic who's looking for a gig and doesn't want to stress to much about "preparing."

There are probably more aussie comics on here than anywhere i've seen bar Chortle. There are alot of great Australian comics calling the UK home - The scene over here is huge.
